Hey y’all, hope everyone has come out of 2022 unscathed and ready to rock another year. We have had another great year in North Cornwall. It’s a pretty cool place to lay your hat and we are both lucky to work amongst such good people. I am still in Holiday Rentals at The Point and himself has done a bit of everything, finishing up working for Anns Cottage as a delivery driver which he loved. I am part of a brilliant team. It’s tough at times but fun. I love my work fam, they are a fab bunch. I am very lucky.

We’ve enjoyed visits from our family and of course my gorgeous girls and managed to squeeze in a fair bit of exploring through the season. Our annual visit to the cottage on the beach at Fowey was fabulous as always. We’ve made more effort to do all the Christmassy stuff this Winter too. A flying trip back to the Shire to see the folks and do the Christmas Market thing at Chatsworth and Haddon Hall was great fun despite the long drive. The kids came with us. Always good to get everyone together. The festive season holds some good stuff in Cornwall if you can rug up and brave the cooler weather. The Christmas Festival at Padstow was incredibly enjoyable. All the celeb chefs were there, doing their thing. Plenty of eating and drinking, live music, cocktails on a boat in the harbour, champagne and oysters and lots of interesting stalls. An all round smashing day as was the seasonal Fowey Christmas Market. Most enchanting though for me were the Heligan Night Gardens . So beautiful, particularly as it was a fiery red sunset and a full moon on the night we visited. I did a spot of wreath making with Jane Lawrence Flowers with my work girlies. Thanks to Kate for organising that, mine turned out better than I thought it would!! We spent a quiet, restful Christmas in an Apartment with a beautiful view and a log burner. Matt and Lucy decided to join the clan up North so it was just us and the dog. I love a walk on the beach on Christmas Day. We listened to Junior Choice on Baby Bay, it was fab! On New Years Eve we were invited to Matt’s new work place, The St. Tudy Inn. Wow, what feast! The food was divine and we received such a warm welcome. I can highly recommend it if you’re in the area. It’s a delightful cosy atmosphere and a foodie’s heaven. We had a great night but didn’t last until midnight. What a pair of old fogies, we were in bed for 11! No staying power these days.

And so, into the New Year! We have chucked our flip flops in the van and set off to find some sunshine ☀️!! Luckily my lovely Employers have sanctioned a couple of months off. Time to get those wheels turning once again. It’s been a while. Watch this space for the next adventure. Wishing you all love and luck for 2023. Hoping it’s a good one dear friends xxx
